Dr. Rachel Boltz named Morris Animal Foundation National Winner of the |
When Lisa Lotti, the director of Unconditional Love Rescue, read about the Morris Animal Foundation's "Thank Your Vet for a Healthy Pet" contest, she knew she had to nominate one of her all time heroes, Dr. Rachel Boltz. Dr. Boltz has been one of the primary veterinarians for Unconditional Love Animal Rescue for the past four years, taking on our most difficult cases with brilliance and ultimate compassion. She not only sees (and kisses) hundreds of rescue kitties for our organization, but she also sees Lisa's personal brood of six kitties and one dog. Dr. Boltz consistently goes above and beyond what is normal and expected for our people and organization. We think she is heroic beyond words. |
Rascal and Jazzpurr make pet of the week! |
When Rascal and Jazzpurr came into our local shelter, they were part of a litter of five. Their two little sisters were sick, weak, and ended up being euthanized by shelter staff. But the boys--healthy little balls of mischief--were kept alive. Rascal and Jazzpurr were adopted by Patrice Abood of Incline Village, Nevada (we hand-delivered them, eager for them to have the wonderful home that Patrice would provide). And now . . . well, they are famous!! Thanks, Patrice, for being an awesome kitty mama and getting those two the press they deserve! |
